Foot and Ankle Cold Laser Therapy

Dr. Rollandini, DPM offers FDA approved MedX Class III Cold Laser, and Infrared & Visible Red-Light Therapy Systems. This inpatient treatment is non-invasive and drug free. Cold laser therapy has been used in Europe for over 40 years and is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. There have been more than 2,500 research reports published and greater than 100 double-blind positive studies confirming the clinical effect of cold laser therapy.

The MedX Low Level Laser provides a total of 450mW of power with three 800nm (nanometer) laser diodes and a blue visible guide LED. The laser is tuned to very specific wavelengths allowing it to be focused into powerful beams to stimulate healing. The laser photons increase the cell’s ability to take in oxygen and nutrients and pass out wastes and toxins. It increases the permeability of the cell which allows for a significant decrease in swelling, pain and inflammation, enhancing the body's immune response. While the patient will feel the laser device touch their skin, the procedure is painless and noninvasive. No vibration or heat is felt. The body continues to benefit from the effects of laser 18-24 hours post therapy.

The MedX Light Therapy Super Luminous Diode Clusters provide 1000mW of energy with infrared and visible red diodes. The body tissues absorb the light. Red and near-infrared light cause damaged, unhealthy cells to respond with a reaction that promotes regeneration and healing.

Benefits:

Laser and Light Therapy is a proven and highly effective rehabilitative treatment at a cellular level which increases local circulation, accelerates tissue repair, reduces pain, decreases inflammation and swelling, stimulates blood vessel formation, and enhances the immune response.
